Former Jigawa State governor, and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Dr. Sule Lamido on Tuesday visited former military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his hilltop residence in Minna, Niger State.
Lamido who has been visiting prominent PDP leaders to solicit for their support was in Minna with his entourage to confer with former president and also to solicit the support of the military ruler.
He was accorded warm reception on arrival at the Hilltop, and the two met privately for several minutes. Lamido, however, left without addressing the newsmen who thronged to the hilltop.
For sometimes now, the former governor has been on consultative visits to various states including Ekiti, Delta, Rivers and Southeastern part of the country.
During previous visits to states, Lamido said the nation deserved to grow and develop.
He also boasted that he possessed the abilities to take the nation out of hardship.
Lamido vowed to work with other aspirants as well as leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to ensure that unity and focus remained the hallmark of the party as it prepared to tackle issues of transforming the nation.
