Alhaji Sani Mahmud Shaaban, the Dan Buran Zazzau, has described why he is the best to succeed Governor Nasir el-Rufai as the next Kaduna state governor come 2023.
In his New Year message, Shaaban who also doubled as Baraden Keffi, thanked God who made it possible to witness another Year.
He added that “considering the urgency of time and current necessities Kaduna found itself, I believe I’m the best to be Kaduna governor based on experience, competence, exposure and technical knowledge.”
While listing multiple challenges confronting Nigeria, he hope the new year would usher in remarkable growth and stability for the nation.
“The devastations caused by COVID and recent Omacron are enormous, both to well-being and the economy, we must strive to observe protocols and precautions. With resilience and perseverance we would overcome and surmount the challenges,” he said.
Shaaban lamented the horrific actions of bandits who on daily basis pillage and ravage the region, he, therefore called for frequent prayers for God’s intervention.
Shaaban enjoined Nigerians to support the military who toil day and night to secure the nation.
He added that “Without their sacrifices, only God knows where we would be. May God strengthen them, give them victory over our adversaries,” he said.
Shaaban admonished Kaduna citizens to update and validate their voter’s cards and elect leaders they know have the masses interests.
“2022 remains a gateway to the elections period and the scorecards of some elected leaders remain abysmal, therefore, we should mobilize, first by obtaining voter cards – the significant instruments in replacing inefficient and ineffective leaders,” he added.
“We have learnt the imperative of politics and moral rectitude and principles. “We have also mastered the audacity of redefining of the concept of rejiging impossibility to mean real possibility in our journey for 2023,” he maintained.
Shaaban posited that the perseverance he developed over time against all odds has given him confidence to present himself above all governorship aspirants in Kaduna state
“With your prayers and support, we shall cross the rubicon and mount the saddle of leadership where equity, respect, and social justice will be our hallmark, he promised.
