Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni was special guest at the closing ceremony of the week-long National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST) 2020 which took place in Jos, Plateau State yesterday.
NAFEST is an annual cultural event designed to bring the country closer together and foster unity and understanding among the people through culture and its artistic forms.
Accompanied by his Chief of Staff Alhaji Abdullahi Gashu’a, the Hon. Commissioner of Home Affairs, Information and Culture Abdullahi Bego, and other senior government officials, the governor was received by his Plateau State counterpart, H.E Simon Bako Lalong.
The governor’s presence at the NAFEST closing event clearly electrified the audience and was a huge boost for the Yobe contingent, which did a marvellous, really commendable march-past performance to the applause of all.
As a bridge building event, NAFEST 2020 has seemed to achieve its overall objective with different parts of the country proudly represented in beautiful and colourful and breathtaking ways.
