Gunmen suspected to be Fulani marauders yesterday attacked Nasarawa and Attalawa villages of Tara in Sabon Birni Local Government of Sokoto state.
The suspected gunmen who attacked the two villages came in a large numbers killed scores of people and carted away significant numbers of livestock.
A resident of Nasarawa village who spoke to Abuja Chronicle, but craved anonymity, said the people of Sabon Birnin Gobir are daily living in difficult situations due to constant attacks by the Fulani bandits.
“These Fulani are terrorizing us on daily basis. Our people have forgotten when last they sleep in the night due to fear of constant attacks.
“They made our lives miserable, they killed our people, stole our livestock, we are appealing to the government, both at state and federal level to come to our aid before they finished us all.”
Earlier on Sunday night, the marauders ransacked Zango village where they made away with herd of livestock and killed two people.
Bandits attacks in Sabon Birni Local Government have become an increasing threats. May 27 last more 60 people were killed in a single attack when dozens of suspected bandits attacked Garki, Dan Aduwa, Kuzari, Katuma and Masawa villages near the border with Niger Republic.
